My name is Ivette Reyes and I am a retired public school teacher for over 33 years of service. I am currently licensed through the department of education and I am looking to serve my community.

Welcome! to Mountain View Reggio Emilia- Maria Montessori Science, Nature Play Based Creative Arts Early Childhood Program, you have chosen a high quality program and one of the best developmentally appropriate programs for your child. Our program is conveniently located in the Foxon section of East Haven Connecticut.

Foxon Boulevard is a suburban neighborhood located in East Haven, Connecticut. It is bordered on the south by Long Island Sound, on the west by New Haven, on the north by North Haven, and on the east by Branford, Lake Saltonstall, and North Branford CT 80 is an east/west route in southern central Connecticut. It begins at I-91 in New Haven and runs east through East Haven, North Branford, Guilford, Madison, Killingworth Deep River.

We will serve children from, all surrounding towns. Mountain View Learning LLC is a Reggio Emilia Maria Montessori Learning program that offers early learning to our precious babies. toddlers, preschool, kindergarten, and beyond up to twelve years old age.

Our program’s Operation Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am- 5:30 PM. Before and after school hours are also available to meet the needs children and families. We are currently enrolling and accepting applications for the 2022 2023 school season see our winne page for further information.

Mountain View Learning LLC exceeds the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requirements for formal education for their respective positions, and have experience working with young children families for over thirty three years. We hold distinguished Education Birth to Five Educator Certificate through the Connecticut the Department of Education through Charter Oak State College Degrees in Early childhood Sciences with a concentration in child psychology, at Albertus Magnus College. Our extended educational staff holds also holds Certification in First Aid & CPR six years of experience in Pre K through 8 as an assistant public school teacher and behavioral consultant assisting students with performing and developing academic, social, behavioral skills; shaping student's behavior through positive reinforcement, and redirection through individual behavioral health assessments.

We truly enjoy and understand how young children learn and grow. We respond with sensitivity to each child's individual needs, desires, and interests. Our teaching methods and personal philosophy are inspired by Reggio Emilia with a twist of Maria Montessori. This unique approach to learning supports learning through play, discovery, interdependence and socio-cultural learning. Mountain View Learning supports and implements Reggio Emilia early childhood educational practices based on responsibility, and community. This unique approach unites and develops all multiple intelligences innovation, nature, construction, fantasy, art, music, dance, building, writing, talking, signing, science, body, and soul.

Reggio Emilia’s and Maria Montessori’s core concepts and values are the child’s natural curiosity of their world coupled with a respect for the countless qualities and values independence and collaborative work. Our program is play based and project based oriented and play is the framework that drives the learning experiences to high order thinking while enhancing their intellectual and cognitive development.

The Reggio Emilia Approach emphasizes a child’s abilities, competences, and natural aptitude it encourages the development of new and inherent talents,qualities as they embark on and prosper in life with confidence and skill, especially in future educational endeavors.

Mountain View will utilize a creative and curious approach to teaching and learning. We will focus on social and emotional learning, environmental studies, science, nature, creative arts and outdoor learning. Our unique science laboratory is uniquely designed to further investigate, discover and explore scientific phenomena, science experiments, and nature explorations.

All children must have up updated yearly physical exams immunizations, flu shot and vaccines per the Connecticut State department of education regulations.

Mountain View supports multicultural education. Research suggests that children who engage in culturally responsive educational experiences help build young children's self-confidence and skills while increasing children's awareness, appreciation, and inclusion of diverse beliefs and cultures and maximizes children's academic achievement and educational success.

Mountain View offers a therapeutic environment and incorporate mindfulness exercises in our community gatherings and throughout our day.

Our unique science laboratory is uniquely designed to further investigate, discover and explore scientific phenomena, science experiments, and nature explorations. Our children will be busy conducting experiments both indoor & outdoors engaging in scientific inquiry and social and emotional development. Our science lab & and outdoor nature habitat green spaces allow children to explore and learn all about the earth while developing intrapersonal and interpersonal relationships.

Mountain View incorporates both indoor and outdoor learning experiences throughout our garden spaces and habitat. Children are able to move freely and develop their physical developmental skills through dance and musical activities and have access to the playground. Our enrichments include: fundamentals of baseball, basketball, technology and summer camps with a specialization in environmental study, oceanography and sports.
