Hydra-Matic Drive showcases some of the the finest players in California Bluegrass music today. Sharing a love for traditional bluegrass music, Hydra-Matic Drive is a group of dedicated and experienced players who truly enjoy making music together. Featuring Mike Wilhoyte on guitar, Tom Bekeny on mandolin, Avram Siegel on banjo, and Karen Wilhoyte on bass, this band has a contagious groove and features exciting instrumental breaks and tight harmonies that are sure to please. Named after the first automatic transmission introduced in the 1940 model Oldsmobiles, and like the transmission, this band drives and shifts with a clear smooth sound.

Rocky Michaels is a multi-award-winning American singer-songwriter and a voting member of the Recording Academy/GRAMMYs. With three studio albums and thirty-eight officially released songs to his name, Rocky has built a catalog that reflects both depth and authenticity. He first sat down at the piano at the age of five, sparking a lifelong passion for music. Today, he continues to share that passion through intimate solo acoustic performances at venues across California, connecting with audiences through his heartfelt songwriting and storytelling.

Following the paths of Townes Van Zandt, John Prine &amp; Gram Parsons, Gabriel is a modern-day troubadour playing Cosmic American Music. Native to Charlottesville, Virginia, and a longtime Bay Area resident, he has become increasingly migratory. To pay the rent, he’s worked as a housepainter, cook, shepherd, bartender, dockworker at a lobsterman’s co-op, and camera operator. But whatever his day/night job, and wherever on earth it finds him, he is writing songs. These songs, deceptively clad in the guise of country-folk, are glimpses into a far-gone world, variously mournful and raucous, cozy and surreal. The campaign to support his album Sir Dude Man &amp; the Wandering Blues has brought him to Point Reyes, CA, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, Richmond, VA, Charlottesville, New Orleans, Detroit, Kalamazoo &amp; Grand Rapids, MI.

Join us for an exciting evening of vocal jazz as we welcome in harmony, the acclaimed &amp; multi talented, Tiffany Austin! Tiffany Austin is a vocalist, composer, educator, and Berkeley Law Juris Doctor. She has performed with luminaries such as Pharoah Sanders, Roy Ayers, John Handy, Cyrus Chestnut, and Doug Carn. Her soulful delivery and musical storytelling has brought her to stages at Birdland and Dizzy's Den in NYC, Walt Disney Concert Hall in her native Los Angeles and the SFJAZZ Center in San Francisco. Beyond California, she has performed in Europe, Asia, and Australasia, as well as on nationally televised programming in the United States. “Nothing But Soul”, Austin's debut album from 2015, garnered attention from NPR’s “Fresh Air” program and Downbeat magazine for its bold recasting of Hoagy Carmichael standards. Her 2018 sophomore album, “Unbroken”, was hailed by All About Jazz as a "fully formed masterpiece", received a 4 star Downbeat review, and reached #16 on jazz radio charts. Austin is a guest educator at series sponsored by SFJAZZ, Stanford Jazz Workshop, and local school districts, and is currently Musical Director of the Healdsburg Jazz Festival Community Choir. ABOUT PRESCOTT CIRCUS THEATRE: Now in its 41st year, the Prescott Circus Theatre (PCT) is a nationally recognized performing arts education program for Oakland youth. PCT offers safe environments that challenge Oakland youth, through circus arts training, to live the core principles of hard work, teamwork, practice, belief in self. Programs promote the skills and self-confidence children need to thrive on stage and in life. Programs consist of free afterschool, weekend and summer programs for over 250 Oakland youth each year. Performing Company members from Prescott, where the program began, perform and make appearances at over 50 Bay Area events each year.
