Richard Forliano has been Eastchester’s town historian for over twenty-five years. He is always hard at work contributing to a further understanding of the prolific heritage of Eastchester, including the villages of Tuckahoe and Bronxville. Among his many accomplishments, he co-chaired the Bicentennial Committee of the Bill of Rights. He also published a book about the Bill of Rights that was illustrated by the school children of Eastchester. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Saint Paul’s National Historic Site. He continually publishes articles delving into the community’s rich historical legacy.
Most recently, Richard was instrumental in celebrating Eastchester’s 350 years of history. He was a member of the board for the 350th anniversary yearlong celebration and spearheaded many events. He was a driving force in the publication of the stunning, educational book on Eastchester’s history, Out of the Wilderness.
Richard also conducts living history tours highlighting the many historic places and events in Eastchester, Tuckahoe and Bronxville.
