<a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Ridgefield’s seventh annual Pride in the Park</a> celebration will take place this&nbsp;SATURDAY, JUNE 6 from 12 - 3 pm in Ballard Park, Ridgefield (Rain location: Yanity Gym).&nbsp; We will gather at the gazebo at 1pm for remarks and a march around the park. &nbsp; Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a free event, open to the public and catering to families, with a variety of activities, crafts, entertainment and informational tables for all ages.&nbsp;&nbsp;
In addition to <a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org/pride-in-the-park/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Pride in the Park</a>, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events and Pride Promotions throughout May, June and July with something for everyone, from our tiniest tots to our seniors. Deborah Ann’s Sweet Shoppe will be featuring their popular Pride ice cream for the month of June.&nbsp; Additional Ridgefield-area LGBTQ+ events and promotions will be announced in the coming weeks on our website <a href="https://ridgefieldpride.org" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">ridgefieldpride.org</a>.
In these times of social upheaval and division it is essential that we come together and support each other.&nbsp; The LGBTQ community is one of our vulnerable populations, and it is important that we work to lift people up rather than pull them down.&nbsp; Ridgefield CT Pride provides just such an opportunity to do so, so please come join us in celebrating the LGBTQ community.&nbsp;&nbsp;
Ridgefield CT Pride is a non-profit charitable organization that was created in 2019 under the umbrella of the 501(c)3 organization Friends of Ridgefield Community Programs.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

A classic in fictional American literature spanning over three centuries tells the story of Orlando as he transitions over the centuries, starting as a young nobleman in Elizabeth’s England, and ends his (now her) tale in 1928 as a wife and mother at the tail end of the women’s suffrage movement. A heartfelt tale looking at the roles of gender through the centuries, and brilliant use of transitioning as being both literal and metaphorical in its analysis of gender throughout history.&nbsp;

UCC Southbury invites the community to join them for the 50th Annual Southbury Strawberry Festival on the spacious Church Green, located at 283 Main Street North, in Southbury, CT, to be held on Saturday, June 6th, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (rain or shine).
There will be fresh strawberry shortcakes with homemade whipped cream, live music by Band o’ Brothers, Nick Depuy and Adelaide Punkin, assorted baked goods, grilled foods and Food Trucks including Cousins Maine Lobster and Red Apple Catering with Ben &amp; Jerry’s Ice Cream on hand. Join us for the 2026 Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund Benefit Car Show, which will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM&nbsp;at Town Hall, located at 101 Field Point Road in Greenwich. 
In the event of rain, the rain date will be Sunday, June 7, 2026.The popular community event will feature a wide array of classic, antique, custom, and exotic cars all on display in the heart of Greenwich. 
The car show is free for spectators and open to the public.The Greenwich Police Department Scholarship Fund invites car owners to sign up for pre-registration for $20 per vehicle by June 4. <a href="https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.gpdscholarshipfund.org/gpdsf-car-show/</a>

Sponsorship opportunities begin at just $50, with options such as $125 for a Trophy Sponsor&nbsp;and $250 for an on-site sponsor package. Automobile dealership opportunities begin at $500, which includes on-site participation and the opportunity to display a vehicle. Joe Brandt, President of Connecticut-Westchester Mycological Association, will be our guide into the world of foraging and sustainable harvesting. Wild chestnut trees can be found in the Groton area and mulberry trees in Stamford; mushrooms are everywhere, but which ones are edible? Comedy from the Couch kicks off a high‑energy fundraising night at Genesis Health Club, where seasoned comedians from across the Hudson Valley and NYC, including four cast members from The Couch, take the stage. The evening features local artists and a headline performance by Dennis and the Dropouts, bringing a classic‑rock vibe to the celebration. All tax‑deductible proceeds support the production of The Couch, a short comedy film that sparks a meaningful message: life gets better off the couch when we stand up, show up, and spend real time together.

Nothing says spring better than our popular Classic Design Luncheon and Lecture! We’re honored to feature Genevieve Wheeler-Brown, the author of&nbsp;<a href="https://beyondblueandwhite.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">“Beyond Blue and White.”</a>
Wheeler-Brown’s book explores the history of Delftware ceramics, focusing on the often-overlooked roles of women as makers, patrons, and collectors, from 17th-century factory owners like&nbsp;Barbara Rotteveel&nbsp;to Gilded Age collectors like&nbsp;Mrs. J. Pierpont Morgan. A must for devotees of decorative arts and the history of material culture. 
Location: The award-winning Jay Estate Gardens designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz. Co-Chairs, Tracy Edwards, Liz Garrett, Emmy Lambert, Lindsay Bello Martin and Suzanne Clary.
Guests will enjoy botanical cocktails and a tour of the blue and white blooms of our gardens at 11:30am followed by lunch and lecture at 12 Noon. Booksigning at 1:30pm. Catering provided by Scarborough Fair Catering.
Spring garden attire and hats encouraged!

GENEVIEVE WHEELER BROWN
Founding Genevieve Wheeler Decorative Art Advisory in 2003, Genevieve comes to the advisory business with more than 12 years of experience in the auction world, strong generalist knowledge and a wide range of contacts in American, European and Asian decorative and fine arts.
Genevieve began her career with Christie’s in 1992 with the European Decorative Arts Department after working as an intern at The Phillips Collection, Washington D.C. in 1990. She was then asked to run Overseas Consignments at Christie’s Park Avenue, a department that handled inquiries for European based auctions including Indian and Southeast Asian art, Islamic Art, Miniatures, Textiles and Cameras. In 1995 Genevieve became the New York contact for sales of Fabergé and Russian Silver at Christie’s Park Avenue and most recently was as a specialist in Fine Musical Instruments at Christie’s Rockefeller Center from 1998 to 2003.
While at Christie’s, she was involved with important sales such as ‘The Pine Cone Egg’ by Carl Fabergé and ‘The Taft’ Stradivari which fetched the auction record for an instrument sold in the United States. She has also been an appraiser on the PBS production ‘The Antiques Roadshow’.
A supporter of several fine and decorative art related institutions, Genevieve has served on the Board of the National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York, served as a member of the Young Fellows Steering Committee of the Frick Collection from 1995 to 2005 and co-Chaired the Winter Antiques Show Young Collector’s Night, New York in 2004, 2005, and 2006.
Genevieve currently advises several organizations including <a href="https://www.dumbartonhouse.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Dumbarton House</a>, a Federal period house museum in Georgetown, as a board member as well as for <a href="https://www.thewintershow.org/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Winter Show</a> as a vice-chair of Opening Night and as co-founder of The Winter Show Luncheon.About The Jay Heritage Center
