The Ridgefield Library&nbsp;has partnered with&nbsp;<a href="https://rvnahealth.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">RVNAhealth</a>&nbsp;to introduce a&nbsp;monthly Memory Café,&nbsp;held at the Library and created as a welcoming hour of shared activities, conversation and connection for individuals living with memory changes and the care partners who support them.
Each Memory Café offers a chance to step away from appointments, schedules and daily responsibilities and simply enjoy time together. The free hour includes a thoughtful mix of easy, enjoyable activities and time to socialize.
A defining part of this new partnership is the involvement of&nbsp;<a href="https://rvnahealth.org/news/meet-danielle-taibi-ot-dementia-specialist/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">RVNAhealth Dementia Specialist, Danielle Taibi</a>, who offers a supportive and welcoming environment focused on enjoyment, connection and shared activities.&nbsp; At our July meeting, we will be playing a “Let’s Chat” game developed by <a href="https://www.soartogetherct.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">SOAR Together</a>.

Join scholar Lakshmi Bose and classical actress Poornima Kirby at the Ridgefield Library on Saturday, July 25th at 3:00 pm for an inspiring exploration of women’s writings and conversations across the age of revolutions – a 70+ year period spanning movements in America, France and Haiti.&nbsp; <a href="https://ridgefieldlibrary.librarymarket.com/event/hold-performance-146427" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Please register.</a>
Some women fought on the front lines (even loading the cannons!), some ran businesses, and in the aftermath of the revolution, some demanded new rights while others encouraged each other to ‘return’ to the home.&nbsp;These conversations were passionate, varied and contradictory – What does freedom look like for women after monarchy?&nbsp;Should it depend on education, birth or race?&nbsp;Many of these women declared otherwise – wanting a taste of the freedom they had helped win – even if they were not sure how it could look!
Join us as Lakshmi maps a fascinating path through the shape of these revolutions while Poornima leaps in to voice the pamphlets, letters, songs and speeches of the women who shaped them.&nbsp;By turns playful, touching and invigorating, this combined lecture and theatrical recitation is a thrilling ride through fiery times!

This November, I will be running the New York City Marathon in honor of my cousin, Kevin Noonan, and in support of Samaritans NYC, an organization dedicated to suicide prevention and emotional crisis support.
Kevin was one of the kindest souls and had so much love for those around him. He was loved deeply by his family and friends, and I am honored to be running this marathon in his memory.&nbsp;
Samaritans NYC provides critical resources to individuals in emotional distress, including a 24/7 confidential hotline, support groups for those who have lost loved ones to suicide, and community education programs focused on suicide awareness and prevention.
I&rsquo;m committed to raising funds to support this important work, and I hope you&rsquo;ll consider contributing to my campaign. You&rsquo;re also welcome to share a message about what inspired your donation, I would truly love to read your notes.
