I’m David Barkley, Head Instructor and Program Director at Rise Martial Arts in Pflugerville. For over two decades, I’ve taught students of all ages, helping them build focus, confidence, and respect through our family-owned school. Alongside my teaching, I also created the Martial Arts Definitions (MAD) Project, a research initiative documenting martial arts education as a structured field of study and its connections with AI and semantic web development.
