Dining, shopping, and dressing up - it doesn’t get much better than that! 
Girls’ Night Out is hosted annually on the first Thursday evening in June. Women from Millburn, Short Hills, and the surrounding towns all head to Downtown Millburn for shopping specials, giveaways, and a dedicated night to explore the shops in their favorite town. Local businesses offer discounts, promos, free swag, special themed items, raffles, games, snacks, and more! A great chance to connect with your favorite businesses in town and discover new ones, all while spending a fun evening out with your girlfriends.
This year’s theme is 90s music, so grab your glitter and get ready to rock!
This year’s event will be centralized to one main area; event will take place on the main stretch of Millburn Ave from the intersection of Town Hall Plaza to the intersection of Lackawanna Place. Plan to park in our parking deck on Essex St (first hour is free!) and walk over to Millburn Ave. Start at one end of the event and make your way down to visit all of our business store-fronts and sidewalk tables. Enjoy live music/DJs as you stroll down the sidewalk and into store-fronts, and be sure to find our “roller girls” to get some fun prizes and complimentary glitter face painting.
Shop until you drop - shop locally for a chance to win! Receive a special EMSH envelope at the event, add all of your shopping receipts the envelope, fill out your info, and drop your envelope full of receipts into one of our mailboxes for a chance to win a $50 gift card to a business of your choice! (10+ winners will be chosen!) Mailbox locations are posted on our website. Shopping contest runs from June 1-June 11.
First 150 attendees will receive a FREE swag bag. (Swag bag pickup location will be at The Clock Tower at Lot 1, at the corner of Main Street and and Essex St.) Pre-registration is NOT required to attend the event, however visit <a href="https://tinyurl.com/49y93suh" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">tinyurl.com/49y93suh </a>to sign up for our event giveaways and receive details in advance.

Discover Rhapsody in Blue will be The Discovery Orchestra’s 7th public television production. From Bach to Saint-Saëns, our television programs have reached millions of viewers across the United States and around the world—significantly elevating the profile of The Discovery Orchestra and showcasing our signature approach to helping audiences listen more deeply to classical music.
This year, we turn to George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, a dazzling fusion of classical tradition and jazz energy that captures the heartbeat of 1920s America. Its rhythmic brilliance, sweeping melodies, and unmistakable spirit continue to resonate with audiences. Join Maestro George Marriner Maull and The Discovery Orchestra as they uncover what makes this masterpiece so timeless—and why it continues to thrill us a century after its debut.
We are thrilled to feature special guest pianist <a href="https://claytonstephenson.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Clayton Stephenson</a>, an internationally-acclaimed virtuoso known for his joyful charisma, expressive depth, and fresh, poetic interpretations. His dynamic artistry brings a powerful new voice to Rhapsody, making this performance especially exciting.
