<table><tbody><tr><td><table><tbody><tr><td><table><tbody><tr><td>If you care about housing in the Tri-Valley, we hope you’ll join us this Friday, October 2.Housing instability affects individuals, families, nonprofits, employers, schools, and communities. Understanding what’s happening now, and how our regional housing system is responding, is an important part of finding a path forward.</td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table></td></tr></tbody></table>Join the Tri-Valley Antipoverty Collaborative and Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance for a morning of connection, education, and action with regional organizations&nbsp; working to turn housing instability into housing stability.
Stable housing is a human right, but housing instability can feel like living in a house of cards – a single gust, a single challenge, and the fragile framework collapses. Just as a basic house of cards can be rebuilt into something sturdier, housing stability can be planned, with intention.&nbsp;
We’ll hear directly from Amy Cole-Bloom, PhD, of Alameda County Health’s Housing &amp; Homelessness Services, on the policy and systems-level work shaping our region’s response to the housing crisis. Contra Costa County Supervisor Candace Andersen will moderate a panel discussion of regional nonprofit leaders from Housing Consortium of the East Bay, Goodness Village, Trinity Center, and City Serve. They will examen what’s actually happening on the ground: shelters, transitional housing, and wraparound services turning crisis into stability for real families. We’ll then shine a spotlight on how local government and affordable housing developers are partnering to build lasting solutions, and close with an eye towards the future.
This isn’t just a conversation about a crisis. It’s a conversation about hope, and about what becomes possible when a community decides to build something sturdier, together. Don’t miss it.
Doors open at 9:00am for networking and light refreshments. The program will run from 9:30am – Noon.

Meyhouse San Ramon & Jazz Club

Doors open: 5:00 PM &amp; 8:00 PMShow: 6:30 PM &amp; 8:30 PM Acclaimed pianist Tamir Hendelman leads his trio in a lyrical, deeply swinging celebration of Bill Evans, exploring beloved compositions and standards associated with one of jazz’s most influential pianists.

Joined by bassist Sam Bevan&nbsp;and drummer Lorca Hart, Hendelman brings fresh perspective to the music while honoring the distinctive trio approach that helped reshape modern jazz. Rather than recreating classic recordings, the trio explores the music through its own dynamic interplay and musical chemistry.

The program features Bill Evans compositions including Waltz for Debby, Very Early, Turn Out the Stars&nbsp;and Time Remembered, alongside standards closely associated with his trios such as My Foolish Heart, Nardis, Emily&nbsp;and Alice in Wonderland.

A longtime member of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra&nbsp;and former pianist with the Jeff Hamilton Trio, Hendelman has earned acclaim for his lyrical touch, deep swing and imaginative arranging. Legendary pianist Oscar Peterson&nbsp;praised his playing as “exhilarating and thoughtful,” while All About Jazz&nbsp;has highlighted his “gift for imaginative arranging.”

Together, Hendelman, Bevan and Hart celebrate Bill Evans’ enduring legacy while bringing their own perspective to the music that transformed the modern jazz piano trio.

SRFC&nbsp;Vies For Another Spot In the Tournament Proper
Last year San&nbsp;Ramon&nbsp;FC's men's senior&nbsp;team made history, becoming the first team in the greater Tri-Valley to earn a spot in any US&nbsp;Open&nbsp;Cup tournament. The team traveled to Phoenix back in March and played a match against USL&nbsp;Championship professional side Phoenix Rising FC.
