Mathis House a Victorian Bed & Breakfast and Tea Room

Join the Mathis House for a night of delicious food and Mom's being pampered with a buffet dinner to include the following:
Roasted rosemary bone in chicken with a light brown gravy. Brown rice pilaf. Brussels Sprouts with craisins, honey, and walnuts. Mixed green salad with strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette. A beautiful charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, nuts, crackers, and more. A dessert buffet and a tea bar buffet, coffee, and Cream Ridge. Wine selections to purchase for the evening. Warm dinner rolls with a homemade honey butter.
The evening will include live piano music by our Manager, Evan Mills, who will play old-time favorites to sing along and listen to for the evening.
Date: May 1st 7:00 PM Tickets for the event are $42 plus tax and gratuity. Buy one, get one free.
One Mother for the Night will win an overnight stay with their letter addressed to Vicki Weiss, which explains, "Why I deserve an overnight getaway". This letter is a personal description of all the work that you do as "MOM", why you love the Mathis House, and why we should pick you as the winner of the overnight stay at the Mathis House or the Huddy House. Cape May County 4-H Foundation

The all new Cape May Renaissance Faire brings the days of yore and times of wonder to Cape May.

Hear ye, Hear ye! Prepare to step back in time as the Cape May Renaissance Faire announces its grand opening, and transforms the Cape May County 4-H Fairgrounds into a bustling festival, May 2 &amp; 3, 2026. The new event promises immersive and whimsical fun, fantasy, music, crafts, food and drink; providing a unique escape for families and the young at heart.&nbsp;

The Cape May Renaissance Faire aims to bring the rich traditions of medieval-era entertainment to the local community, blending historical flair with fantastical fun. Attendees can try their hand at archery and axe throwing, shop with various artisanal vendors, or watch the many entertaining performances on 4 stages. Patrons are encouraged to dress in clothing of the bygone area, as the mythical character they wish to be, or just come as they are.

Highlights of the Inaugural Season Include:
<ul><li>Marketplace: Over 65 vendors showcasing handcrafted goods, including jewelry, leatherwork, and period clothing.</li><li>Immersive Atmosphere: Street performers, musicians, and costumed villagers bring the Faire to life.&nbsp; Make sure to place your vote for which queen rules the festival!</li><li>Feasts &amp; Sweets: Indulge in a Ren Faire must - the turkey leg or delicious BBQ, and quench your thirst with special themed - mocktails and lemonades.</li><li>Unique Performances: Witness the awe-inducing aerial performances of Shelli Buttons or the exhilarating battles of Armored Combat Wide.&nbsp; Enjoy the musical stylings of Chaste Treasure, Pieces of 8 or the Rowdy Rovers.
