The Powelton Club

Mount Saint Mary College will host its 46th Annual Invitational Golf and Tennis Tournament on Monday, June 1 at the historic Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y.
The event will honor two prominent regional leaders for their commitment to the Hudson Valley community: Anthony Campagiorni, Esq., Executive Vice President of Public Affairs at Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corp., and Jeffrey Crist, Owner and Operator of Crist Bros Orchards, Inc.

All proceeds from the tournament will support Mount Saint Mary College scholarship funds. Scholarships provide critical financial assistance to academically talented students with financial need, ensuring the next generation of Knights can pursue their education and enter the regional workforce with confidence.
The tournament offers several ways for the community to participate throughout the day:
<ul>
 <li>Morning Golf: Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. followed by an 8 a.m. shotgun start in a scramble format.</li>
 <li>Afternoon Golf: Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m. with a 1 p.m. shotgun start.</li>
 <li>Tennis Invitational: Players will check in at 11:30 a.m. for lunch, followed by tournament play on the club’s clay courts at 2 p.m. Tennis whites are required for all participants.</li>
</ul>
In addition to the athletic competitions, the event features a buffet lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and concludes with a celebratory evening reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Mount Saint Mary College invites prospective students to a virtual transfer and adult degree completion information session on Wednesday, June 3, to learn how they can elevate their careers and finish their degrees.
The session will begin at noon and will be held via Zoom. Those interested can register at <a href="https://www.msmc.edu/events/virtual-transfer-and-adult-degree-completion-information-session/2026-06-03/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">www.msmc.edu/TransferInfo</a>. 
Whether a student is looking to transfer from another institution or return to the classroom after years away, the session will provide a comprehensive look at the Mount’s flexible pathways to a bachelor’s degree. Participants will explore academic resources, student support services, and the admissions process. 
Mount Saint Mary College offers two distinct paths for degree completion:
<ul>
 <li>The Transfer Program: Designed for students seeking a traditional on-campus experience, this program offers more than 45 majors. Transfer students are eligible for up to $19,000 in scholarships annually. </li>
 <li>The Adult Degree Program: Tailored for degree-seeking students aged 18 and older, this program features seven in-demand majors – including Accounting, Business, Nursing, and Psychology – offered at a discounted tuition rate with online, hybrid, and evening options.</li>
</ul>
During the session, admissions counselors will answer common questions regarding credit evaluations – noting that the Mount accepts up to 90 transfer credits – and provide guidance on financial aid.

Virtual Transfer and Adult Degree Completion Information Session

Mount Saint Mary College is proud to announce the return of its Summer Institute: Nursing Exploration program, a premier, no-cost career exploration program designed for high school juniors and seniors. 
The application deadline is Friday, June 5. Due to high demand and the hands-on nature of the program, slots are limited. Eligibility is restricted to rising high school juniors and seniors. Interested students must submit their applications via the following link: bit.ly/msmcSINE2026.
The program will be held at the Mount campus at 330 Powell Avenue, Newburgh, N.Y., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Two sessions are available to accommodate student schedules. Session 1 runs from July 6 – 10, and session 2 runs from July 13 – 17.
This summer institute is specifically tailored to inspire the next generation of healthcare heroes by providing a realistic look into the nursing profession. Participants will move beyond the classroom to engage in practical skill-building, including wound care, vitals monitoring, and high-fidelity clinical simulations.
Program highlights include:

 <li>Professional Certifications: Students will earn official certifications in CPR/First Aid, Stop the Bleed, and Narcan (anti-overdose medicine) administration.</li>
 <li>Mentorship: Attendees will network directly with nursing professionals and current college students to gain insight into the academic and professional journey of a nurse.</li>
 <li>Clinical Skills: Hands-on training in essential nursing tasks using state-of-the-art simulation technology.</li>
</ul>

The Summer Institute: Nursing Exploration - Grades 11 & 12

Mount Saint Mary College will offer its Summer Knights STEAM Camp this July for high school students.&nbsp;
This engaging week-long experience brings together science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through hands-on workshops led by college professors.
Designed to encourage discovery, creativity, and innovation, the camp allows students to collaborate, create, and experiment while exploring exciting fields: from code breaking to filmmaking, biology, and finance. Participants can choose to attend morning sessions, afternoon sessions, or a full-day camp. Lunch is included for all options.
The camp is available for students entering 10th through 12th grade as of Fall 2026. No prior experience is necessary to attend. Pricing varies depending on the session selected, with a discount available for full-day registration.&nbsp;
