Hobson School, Neighbor

Hobson School is a cooperative school inspiring young children since 1964. Our school sits on the edge of the lovely Goodrich Woods in Naperville’s original one-room school house. Hobson is a one-of-a-kind preschool, founded by parents who wanted to provide the best possible school experience for their 3- and 4-year-old children and for other children in the community. Since then, the school has grown to also include a program for 2-year-olds accompanied by parents.

We believe that an important part of preschool is to provide an experience-based environment in which children have opportunities that support their creativity and expand their understanding of the world around them. By encouraging them to become broad, critical thinkers we hope to cultivate an interest in life-long learning. At Hobson, children participate in play-based educational programs, including outdoor exploration in a natural, wooded environment.
