WHAT: Bowl Bash Delray Beach&nbsp;
Bowl Bash Delray Beach will bring the community together at the Old School Square Gymnasium for an evening of ceramic bowl painting, light bites and refreshments. Serving as a kickoff to Empty Bowls Delray Beach, the event invites guests to get creative and paint two ceramic bowls that will remain with the Palm Beach County Food Bank (PBCFB) following the event, while supporting the organization’s efforts to fight hunger in the community.

WHEN: Friday, October 9, 2026, at 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m.

WHY: With approximately 192,000 food-insecure residents throughout Palm Beach County, PBCFB procures food from grocery stores, farmers, food distributors, wholesalers and other sources and distributes it to over 200 local community partners, including food pantries, soup kitchens and schools. During its 2025-2026 fiscal year, PBCFB distributed over 11.9 million meals to over 197,000 residents experiencing hunger. The Food Bank has been honored with several accolades, including the Chamber of the Palm Beaches Health and Human Services Organization of the Year and the Community Collaborator Award at the 8th Annual Nonprofits First Hats Off Awards. 
HOW MUCH: $20 per person. Each registration includes two ceramic bowls for participants to paint. WHAT: FOUNDERS DAY FESTIVAL 
Celebrate fall, science and 65 years of discovery in the making at Cox Science Center and Aquarium's Founders Day Festival. Families can enjoy live entertainment, food trucks, outdoor games, fall- and science-themed crafts, face painting, and hands-on indoor and outdoor exhibits. The festival will honor the founders and community leaders whose vision helped shape the Science Center.

HOW MUCH: General admission to CSCA for adults is $26, $24 for teens and seniors ages 60 and older, $22 for children ages 3-12, and free for children 2 and under and CSCA members. <a href="https://www.coxsciencecenter.org/membership" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Annual memberships</a> pay for themselves in as little as two visits and includes reciprocal admission over 350 other ASTC Science Center member institutions worldwide.
