Learn how to make a knotted rug weaving with yarn and upcycled textiles! This workshop, facilitated by artist Aneesa Shami Zizzo, is inspired by the long history of rug making in many cultures, specifically in the Southwest Asia, North Africa, and Arab regions. Focusing on techniques like modified larks head knotting, plain weaving, and winding yarn balls, participants will learn the basics of weaving by playing with different fibers, color, and texture to create a small rug. All levels of experience are welcome and all materials will be provided.&nbsp;

This <a href="https://publiccounsel.org/koreatown-community-resource-day/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">free event</a> offers family-friendly activities with multilingual support available in English, Spanish, and Korean. 
The event will feature Know-Your-Rights presentations on immigrants’ rights, medical debt, tenants' rights, family preparedness, and education rights. We will also have community resource tables, free food, raffles, kids’ activities, and more.
