Run with Wolfes is in its sixth year of supporting brain cancer research. The race is organized by volunteers and benefits the UW Carbone Cancer Center in Madison, Wisconsin.

This all began in 1999, Jerry & Nancy Wolfe began a golf outing to raise funds for research in the memory of their son, Eric Wolfe, who they lost to brain cancer.

Our friends suggested that we do something special that would help continue the medical advancements and at the same time keep Eric’s memory alive. This is how Golf Fore Wolfe & A Cure (GFW) began. We have devoted the past 13 years to raising money so brain tumor patients will have a better chance to extend their life. Eric received his treatment at the UW Carbone Cancer Center and therefore we have designated this great clinical and research facility as the recipient of our efforts.

In 2010, Eric's sister, Cara, decided to extend the efforts to include a run/walk. Before Eric passed away, he often encourage his family and friends to participate in running and walking for cancer causes so it felt right to start this “sister” event…Run with Wolfes.

Golf Fore Wolfe and Run with Wolfes have raised over $900,000 and continue to grow in attendance and dollars raised each year.

What makes this event different…it is about family, a sense of community and connection and making a difference for brain cancer patients. We have a passion to raise money for brain cancer research. We hope you will join us in the cause…WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!
