In 2004 I attended my first Democratic Farmer Labor (DFL) Party's caucus. I've been involved ever since serving at various levels of the party. Currently I'm the Chair of both Senate District 20's and Rice County's Democratic Farmer Labor Party and I serve as the Associate Chair of the First Congressional District D.F.L. 

To me politics is about people.

Jimmy Carter once said:<br>“We need a government as good as the people it serves.”

And I agree.

I am passionate about helping those in poverty and the working poor.

That is why I&#39;m involved.
