Sherry Hawkins, Neighbor

Sherry Bennington-Hawkins was born and raised in Havre de Grace.  Born 2/12/79 at Harford Memorial Hospital to Jesse (JR) and Beverly Fadeley-Bennington her family has very strong longstanding ties to the community of Havre de Grace.

She graduated Havre de Grace High School in 1997 and went on to attend Harford Community College majoring in Sociology.  Sherry transferred to Strayer University in Baltimore and changed her major to Business Administration.  She has been employed in state government since 2003, and is also self-employed.  She designs a jewelry line called Sherry's Showpieces and has her work displayed for sale online through the facebook page for her line, as well as at the Rampant Lion Artisan Gallery on St. John Street.

Sherry moved to Elkton, Cecil County in 2005 but remains a frequent visitor to Havre de Grace to see family and friends. 

Sherry wed childhood classmate and long-time boyfriend  Troy Hawkins (native to Havre de Grace, son of "Ms. Zell", and the late Calvin (Junior) Hawkins)  on 9/9/09 in Bel Air. They hope to expand their family in the future!!!!!

Sherry's hobbies include writing, designing jewelry for her line, and competing against her husband and friends at home on the Wii.  She is also a member of the APA (American Poolplayers Association) and is the Captain of a 9-ball team that plays in Harford County on Wednesday evenings.
