Marblehead Little Theatre announces
Non-Equity Auditions for
Pride and Prejudice
By Kate Hamill adapted from the novel by Jane Austen
Produced by Christopher King and Heather Phillips
Directed by Katie Meuse
We are pleased to announce non-equity auditions for Pride and Prejudice, directed by Katie Meuse. This isn’t your grandmother’s Austen! Bold, surprising, boisterous and timely, Kate Hamill's Pride and Prejudice for a new era explores the absurdities and thrills of finding your perfect (or imperfect) match in life. The outspoken Lizzy Bennet is determined to never marry, despite mounting pressure from society. But can she resist love, especially when that vaguely handsome, mildly amusing and impossibly aggravating Mr. Darcy keeps popping up at every turn?! Literature’s greatest tale of latent love has never felt so theatrical or so full of life as it does in this effervescent adaptation. Because what turns us into greater fools than the high-stakes game of love?
Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 24 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 25 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Auditions will break at 6:30 and resume at 7:00.
Callbacks are on Tuesday, October 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Auditions are by appointment, but walk-ins will be auditioned as time allows. Go to <a href="https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.theaterforms.com%2Fmlt%2FPandP%2Fauditionform%2F&amp;data=05%7C02%7C%7C34fcd2949b0745a8c3e808df1f6640eb%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C639264196170705932%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=3vdSoiGbY2JqIcyayxprGEA9jX%2F5ugkhaw6Znf794DA%3D&amp;reserved=0" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.theaterforms.com/mlt/PandP/auditionform/</a>. Video Auditions will also be accepted. Please send video submissions by email to <a href="mailto:kmeuse444@gmail.com">kmeuse444@gmail.com</a> no later than October 23. Any question can also be sent to that email address.
Auditions and Callbacks will be at Marblehead Little Theatre, 12 School St, Marblehead. Please enter through the rear door and go to the second floor.
Please prepare for the auditions: A 2-3 minute comedic monologue, which can be from any time period.
