AMERICAN MASTERWORKS. ONE REMARKABLE NIGHT&nbsp;Grammy Award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey joins Music Director Eckart Preu for the Southern California premiere of Visions of Humanity and Unity—a remarkable new five-movement cello concerto created by five composers, each inspired by a phrase from the Declaration of Independence. With an extraordinary performance by Bailey, the work brings together five different musical traditions and perspectives in one extraordinary orchestral work.
Copland — Fanfare for the Common Man A bold, instantly recognizable American classic.
James P. Johnson — Harlem Symphony A groundbreaking orchestral work by one of the pioneers of American jazz and popular music.
Gershwin — Overture from Strike Up the Band A high-energy finale filled with Gershwin’s unmistakable wit and rhythmic brilliance.
Doors open at 6PM. Arrive early for a special performance on the Plaza by the <a href="https://longbeachsymphony.org/musicians/3rd-marine-aircraft-wing-band/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">3rd&nbsp;Marine Aircraft Wing Band</a>. Prepare to be transported back to the birth of a legend with ELTON DOM: THE YOUNG ELTON EXPERIENCE!
This electrifying show stars 21-year-old musical prodigy Dominick Fulco, who doesn’t just sing the hits—he becomes the era-defining icon who first stormed the stage with raw energy and outrageous glamour. Backed by a powerhouse band, Elton Dom blazes through all of Sir Elton’s greatest hits with the frenetic passion of the early '70s, capturing every note, every flamboyant flick of the wrist, and every ounce of the rock 'n' roll spectacle that made Elton John a global superstar.
Forget the gentle nostalgia of later years—this is a high-voltage, piano-pounding journey to the moment the rocket first launched. It’s not a tribute; it’s a time machine. Come prepared to dance and sing the night away.
Coming to Orange County - 4 Performances Only October 16 @ 7:30PM October 17 @ 2:30PM October 17 @ 7:30PM October 18 @ 1:00PM Tickets at EltonDomLive.com, starting at $35.
