Dancing Our Way Through Books led by Kelly King–Wheaton Family Theatre Series InterAct Story Theatre presents FREE performances and events for kids and families with the Wheaton Family Theatre Series!
Join Kelly King, InterAct Story Theatre teaching artist and founder of Contradiction Dance Theatre and The Movement Movement as we’ll explore a kid-friendly story through creative movement and dance. Kids get to practice reading skills while moving, dancing, and sharing stories with our families and friends. No prior dance training needed…just bring your body and get ready to move. What a fun way to dance away the winter blues! Best for ages 3 and up.
There will be two performances at Highland Elementary School, 3100 Medway Street, Wheaton, MD 20902: Saturday, January 16 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, January 17 at 2 p.m. FREE and open to the public! No tickets or registration needed.
Our schedule is subject to change. Please see our website for the latest information. www.interactstory.com/wheaton On performance days, inclement weather announcements will be posted to our social media if needed. facebook.com/InterActStory; instagram.com/interactstorytheatre

🎃 Spooky Season has begun! 🎃

We will be hosting our annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, November 1, after service (approximately 12:00 PM). Trunk or Treat is a multigenerational Cedar Lane celebration where we decorate car trunks, dress up, and hand out candy in the parking lot. Think Halloween block party meets Cedar Lane community—with costumes, creativity, treats, and lots of joy!
Three reasons to decorate a trunk:
🤝 Build and strengthen relationships Connect with Cedar Laners outside of worship and meet people you might not otherwise encounter.
🎉 Get silly and be joyful Take a break from the news cycle and have some fun! Joy, play, and beauty are part of spiritual life, too. Come reconnect with your inner child.
🌱 Recruit new team members Trunk or Treat is a great opportunity for your ministry team to share what you do and connect with a diverse and energetic group of Cedar Laners.
This is going to be a day of joy, connection, and community! Bring your creativity, invite your friends, and join the fun. Sign up to decorate your trunk, donate candy, or just join the festivities today.
