Join us every Thursday and the last Friday of each month for Story Time in the&nbsp;Horticultural Library. We will celebrate plants and nature and foster a love for books and reading as we explore the library's vast catalog of children’s books. Story Time is recommended for ages 0-5 with a parent, but all are welcome. Members &amp; kids are free, Non Member tickets are $20 in advance. Reserve tickets on the website in advance.

“Viewpoint”&nbsp;brings together the distinct artistic lenses of Brian Jensen and Mary Meuwissen to explore how we perceive our surroundings.&nbsp;Jensen offers a viewpoint rooted in clarity and memory—his precision-based acrylics on wood capture the iconic beauty of Minnesota’s landscapes and lakes with a storyteller’s eye. In contrast, Meuwissen offers a viewpoint from within. Her abstract, luminous layers of oil and wax paintings strip away the literal to reveal the emotional essence of a place. When looking at her pieces, you witness the joyful shifting of energy in nature.&nbsp; Exhibit runs May 20 thru July 20th. And meet the artists on May 31 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Twin Cities Digital Artist Marlena Myles, a member of the Spirit Lake Dakota tribe, presents an augmented reality art exhibition at the Arboretum, which begins in the Harrison&nbsp;Sculpture Garden.&nbsp;Visitors use their cell phones to download the&nbsp;Revelo AR App to view digital images and audio at stops along the walk which honors, educates and connects visitors to Dakota history, culture and significance of the land through art and storytelling. This exhibition explores how light and energy transition across different surfaces.&nbsp;Patty MacHalec’s plein-air style multimedia canvases display a classic depth. The organic, three-dimensional curves of Kristen Treuting’s gourds are stained with ornamental motifs. Jane Johnson's contemporary paintings vibrantly capture the fluid, ever-changing nature of the world around us. Together, these artists invite you to witness the "flow" that connects the tactile world with the human spirit. Exhibit runs June 19 thru August 19. And the Meet the Artists date: June 19. Enjoy the best of summer on Tuesday nights at the Farm at the Arb&nbsp;with live music and chef-crafted pizza fired in outdoor pizza ovens! The Arboretum's Chef Beth Fisher will create pre-ordered pizzas featuring farm-fresh vegetables, greens and herbs while visitors relax under the summer skies, play yard games and listen to the music. And there is a pop-up bar for soda, beer &amp; wine, plus the ice cram cart! Guests need an admission ticket that is at least 30 mins prior to their pizza time slot in addition to the pizza order. Pizzas are ready for pickup at the time of the pizza ticket ordered. The event is Bring Your Own seating so guests should bring a blanket, lawn chairs, or something to sit on to enjoy the pizza out on the lawn. Visit the website for complete details.

Celebrate the 41st anniversary of the Auxiliary Private Garden Tour as guests of the Arboretum Auxiliary. Unlike typical self-guided garden tours, our experience offers a comfortable, air conditioned motor coach ride from garden to garden, with a knowledgeable Auxiliary tour leader sharing insights along the way.&nbsp;Experience three, local private gardens — each with its own history and charm. Guests will be inspired by creative color combinations, pollinator-friendly plantings and other interesting features. After the tour, guests will return to the Arboretum for a delightful brunch&nbsp;or&nbsp;heavy&nbsp;hors d’oeuvres with live music on the stunning Morgan Terrace.
