David brings a lifetime of tennis experience from competing as a nationally ranked junior and Ohio State High School Tournament player to playing NCAA Division I tennis at NC State, where he helped the Wolfpack reach the NCAA Elite 8. A former serve-and-volley lefty who has also coached at private clubs, David loves helping players of all ages and abilities build their skills, confidence, movement, and love of the game. 
Whether you’re a beginner picking up a racket for the first time, a junior looking to compete, or an adult getting back into tennis, group lessons and individual instruction are available! 🎾

33 Years and Still Going Strong – The Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza Returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center September 17 – 20, 2026Oaks, PA – Mancuso Show Management is proud to present the 33rd annual Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza. The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center will host this spectacular event September 17 - September 20, 2026 featuring over 1000 works of textile art. Additionally, the festival offers vendors, hands on workshops, lectures, a fashion show and product demos. Pennsylvania National Quilt Extravaganza is the center of it all for quilt, wearable and textile art! A highlight of this year’s event is a special exhibition by 7-time Tony Award-winning actor and playwright Harvey Fierstein. Best known for writing La Cage aux Folles and Kinky Boots and starring as Edna in Hairspray, Harvey has been making quilts for more than 30 years. During the COVID lockdown, his passion for quilting flourished, inspiring a remarkable collection of quilt art that the Extravaganza is thrilled to premiere. In addition, the festival will display over 30 special exhibitions from regional guilds such as the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild, PieceMakers Quilters and the Sankofa Artisans, travelling quilt collections and the annual national judged competition. Once again Mancuso Show Management sponsored the juried exhibition, Celebration of Women: A Quilter’s Perspective with a portion of the entry fees going to A Woman’s Place (AWP), the only domestic violence community benefit organization in Bucks County, PA. Shopping is a must at the event Merchant’s Mall with a diverse assortment of vendors selling sewing machines, fabric, wool, clothing, notions and more. Attendees can sit in on, at no additional charge, several midday lectures and product demonstrations. Back by popular demand are Fashion Friday, an attendee-driven fashion show, and Sticker Saturday, where collecting stickers can earn you a prize. New this year, the Brandywine Rug Hooking Guild will offer rug hooking demonstrations throughout the event. Quilters and textile artists can also preregister for workshops taught by a nationally recognized faculty. This year’s event is sponsored by Major Sponsors: BERNINA/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, BERNINA Longarm/Domesticity, Brother/Byrne Sewing, Baby Lock/Hayes Sewing Machine Company, Janome/Pocono Sew &amp; Vac and Husqvarna Viking &amp; Pfaff/Sew ‘n Place. Open to the public, show tickets can be purchased on-site. General admission is $18 and includes re-admission for all days. Sunday only general admission is $16. Impact: Reflections of 9/11: Works by George Robert Overhiser Jr. Gallery Talk: Sunday, September 20, 11:15 a.m. Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church Gallery/Fullerton Room

Artist George Robert “Bob” Overhiser Jr. will discuss Impact: Reflections of 9/11, a moving exhibition of abstract works inspired by his experience as a survivor of the September 11, 2001, attacks.
Overhiser was inside the South Tower of the World Trade Center when the plane struck. After escaping the building, he took shelter beside a vendor cart—a moment that would later become central to his artistic response to the tragedy. His works on canvas and stainless steel explore the ways memory, trauma, survival, and resilience can be expressed through abstraction. The reflective surfaces of the stainless-steel works evoke the distorted images and fragmented scenes one might have seen reflected in the shiny metal of the vendor cart.
The public is invited to begin by viewing the exhibition in the Gallery, followed by a conversation with Overhiser in the Fullerton Room, where he will share the personal experiences and creative process behind this powerful collection.
Overhiser is the founder of Portrait Portfolio LLC. He earned a degree in Visual Studies from Dartmouth College and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. His artwork has been exhibited and created since 2012.Impact: Reflections of 9/11 will be in the Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church Gallery, September 13 through October 25.

Alderfer Auction is expanding its local presence with the opening of a new satellite sales office in Wayne, PA, starting Wednesday, October 7th.
Located at 303 West Lancaster Ave, Suite 2C (above The UPS Store), the office will be open weekly on Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Appointments are preferred, though walk-ins are welcome with a limit of two items. For larger collections, please arrange a dedicated in-home consultation. To schedule an appointment, email preview@alderferauction.com or call 215-393-3000.
The Wayne office will be led by Allyson Babcock, an accredited member of the Appraisers Association of America with over 15 years of experience in the auction and appraising industry. A resident of the Main Line community with a background rooted in her family's decades-long antique business and a degree from Brown University, Allyson specializes in American Furniture, Fine Art, and decorative arts, providing USPAP-compliant appraisals for estate tax, insurance, and equitable distribution.
The new location invites the local community to bring in a wide variety of items for evaluation and consignment, including:
