Thomas Wieczerzak has lived in Monmouth County his entire life. He grew up in Middletown and eventually bought a home of his own where he now resides in the Borough of Tinton Falls. Thomas is a graduate from Red Bank Catholic High School and went on to graduate Brookdale Community College and the University of Maryland. Through college he received an AS degree in Criminal Justice, BS in Fire Science and studied Management in Graduate School at the University of Maryland.

Thomas has a long history of volunteer service starting when he was sixteen years old becoming a certified emergency medical technician for the Fairview First Aid & Rescue Squad in Middletown. His passion for emergency services grew when he became a firefighter at the age of eighteen for the Middletown Fire Department. After moving to Tinton Falls Thomas continued his local volunteer service in joining the Wayside Fire Company where he rose through the ranks and currently serves as the Captain of the Fire Company.

His love for emergency services led him to his employment as a Federal Firefighter. For the past ten years Thomas has served in the Federal Fire Service as a Firefighter/EMT at Fort Monmouth and is currently assigned to the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Fire & Emergency Services.

His strive for excellence in the field of emergency services motivated him to achieve some of the highest certifications that can be earned as a Firefighter, Fire Officer and Fire Instructor. He has attained the highest certifications both on a State level as well as National level. These achievements have enabled him to instruct as a fire instructor at the Middletown Fire Training Academy as well as the Fort Monmouth Fire Academy. Through his years of instructing he has trained basic firefighter courses, fire officer courses, technical rescue based courses and even trained firefighters abroad in Germany for the US Army’s European Installation Command.
