I enjoyed a productive career at UConn from 1969 to 2003 as a professor in the Molecular and Cell Biology Dept. I taught the large introductory courses in general biology for majors and non-majors, as well as courses in general microbiology. Since retiring from UConn in 2003, I have been devoting myself to music. I sing baritone in the Renaissance Revival, an a cappella choral group that my wife Lee and I founded in 1976, as well as in various other groups large and small. I sing and play upright bass in the Seldom Heard, a folk trio/quartet. I study flamenco and classical guitar, and perform regularly with Jim Dina and Peter Jones in a trio we call CAFE guitar (Classical And Flamenco Enthusiasts of Guitar).
