Suite Metuchen

October is LGBTQ History Month and Left Turn Village is coming together to honor rich legacies, share lived experiences, and pass the mic to the next generation of storytellers. Whether you're a poet, lyricist, spoken word artist, or just love incredible live performances, this event is a dedicated safe space to showcase stories and uplift queer voices. Step up to compete, take the stage for the open mic, or snap from the front row...as long as you're in the room with us! It’s going to be an unforgettable evening celebrating pride, expression, and the power of word! Bring friends, energy, and a voice. [Audience tickets and contestant slots are limited and sold on a first-come, first-served basis].

LOCAL RESIDENTS!
For the 4th year, I’ll be holding my FREE Medicare Information Sessions at the South Plainfield Public Library every Wednesday from October 14 - December 3.
I’ve had the opportunity to help many residents better understand their Medicare options, and I’d be happy to help you, too.
If you have questions about Medicare, prescription plans, or your coverage options, please stop in or give me a call. It’s important to understand your choices—especially with changes and new Medicare Advantage options for 2027, including plans designed for people with certain chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or chronic lung disease.
Everyone is welcome! Check the South Plainfield Public Library calendar for dates, times, and additional information.

Cone9Colab and guest artists making art that is born out of the lesser, the bare necessities. Rather than relying on the false abundance of materials, devices, information and whatnot, we focus on the essentials: simplicity, back to the roots, embracing the non-processed, imperfect and untamed material & process inspired in the moment. Material matter! lessISmore means mixed-media & inclusiveness by definition; within # 3 , we are focusing on another piece of the puzzle: one of the mother-materials known to mankind of all: clay. Merging the clay’s chronological timeline of 280 million years (e.g, granite) and ours (+/-90 years), a beautiful testimony of more and more about the lesser less in the flow emerges for the seeing eye and observing mind.

Berkeley College’s 11th annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Week event brings together student entrepreneurs and women- and minority-led community businesses to learn, connect, and turn ideas into action. This year’s theme, “The Smart Hustle: AI for Small Business,” will share best practices on how aspiring entrepreneurs can use AI in ways that are practical, accessible, and immediately useful – not as another technology buzzword, but as a tool that can help small business owners save time, reduce costs, improve marketing and operations, and compete more effectively.
This event is open to students, alumni, and the community. Space is limited and registration is required. To learn more about sponsorships for our 2026 event, email KME@BerkeleyCollege.edu.
