Open Houses are one of the best ways to experience how BASIS Independent Brooklyn helps students develop intellectual confidence, strong character, and a lifelong love of learning.
Join us on Saturday, October 17, to walk through our classrooms, meet school leaders and expert teachers, and hear directly from our students and parents. See for yourself why Niche just ranked BASIS Independent Brooklyn the #1 Best Private K-12 School in Brooklyn and #1 Best Private High School in Brooklyn. Niche also ranked BASIS Independent the #6 Best K-12 Private School in the nation.
Choose the campus that matches your child’s grade—or attend both:

Lower School Open House: PreK–Grade 2 | 9:00 AM | 405 Gold Street

Upper School Open House: Grades 3–12 | 12:00 PM | 556 Columbia Street

At each Open House, families will:

Learn how our globally recognized, spiraled curriculum builds knowledge, mastery, and confidence over time.

Tour the campus and visit classrooms with teachers.

Hear from parent and student ambassadors who will share their experience at our school through the years.

Discover how our teachers spark curiosity, develop independent thinking, and inspire students to pursue excellence.

Each Open House will last approximately two hours. Families are welcome to attend even if they cannot stay for the entire event, and students are encouraged to join us.
See for yourself how our distinctive program develops fearless, confident thinkers prepared to explore, question, and shape the world. The Jay Heritage Center (JHC) is a dynamic nonprofit which manages the Jay Estate in Rye, New York. The 23-acre park that they have preserved and interpreted since 1992 is an award-winning culture hub and wildlife refuge on Long Island Sound. Located in the heart of Westchester’s only National Historic Landmark District, the site welcomes visitors April through November to learn about our nation’s flawed yet precious democracy through indoor and outdoor public programs. Offerings about American History feature prominent writers and educators. Free horticulture and birding workshops teach guests about native plants and wildlife. Family-friendly concerts draw hundreds for old-fashioned fun and unplugged enjoyment. The site is a member of NY State's Path Through History and Westchester County's African American Heritage Trail.
