"Songs of the Gilded Age for Violin and Piano"&nbsp;is a classical music concert that promises a memorable afternoon performed by Steinway Artist, Zhenni Li-Cohen on piano and Long Island Chamber Music founder, Gergana Haralampieva on violin. This concert will explore the heritage of American classical music, featuring music by Gershwin, Dvorak, Rachmaninoff, and more. Take a step back in time to a transformative era in music history, tracing the roots of a distinctly American style of music through rich, romantic, and soul-stirring melodies. Join us on Sunday, September 27th at 3:00PM in the Gillespie Room of Long Island Museum's historic Carriage Museum!&nbsp;About Long Island Chamber Music:&nbsp;Long Island Chamber Music (LICM) is a classical music non-profit organization founded with the mission of making professional classical music of the highest caliber accessible to Long Island audiences.

LICM performs chamber music at local venues across Long Island including parks, libraries, churches, museums, and community centers. This includes LICM’s in-demand series, “Notes in Nature” at Planting Fields, “ Under the Stars” at Vanderbilt Museum’s Reichert Planetarium, and its newest endeavor, “Carriage House Salon Series” at Long Island Museum. LICM works closely with its community partners to create concert programs that are inspired by the space and compelling to audiences providing insight into the music programmed. Each concert showcases a variety of instruments drawn from LICM’s artist roster of professional musicians. LICM is strongly committed to programming works and featuring musicians from historically underrepresented communities in the classical music field.

LICM musicians are a collection of New York’s most in-demand classical chamber musicians who in addition to LICM perform with internationally acclaimed string quartets, as soloists, in professional orchestras including New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and in Broadway pit orchestras. In addition to being leaders in their art form, LICM musicians are teaching artists, entrepreneurs, and socially-minded advocates for classical music.
