The History of the WJCMS

The West Jersey Chamber Music Society, Inc. is a fully professional chorus and chamber orchestra which has been presenting a season of classical music concerts in Moorestown each year for 35 consecutive years under the leadership of Joel Krott, Artistic Director. It is the only professional classical music organization of its kind in South Jersey presenting both choral and orchestral works. Each year its program has included the New Jersey Bach Festival, along with several other concerts featuring a varied program of European and American classics, aspiring to the highest artistic standards. The concerts are presented at various locations within Moorestown. The organization is headquartered at 101 Bridgeboro Road, Moorestown. It is noteworthy for an arts organization such as the Society to endure, and in fact prosper, through good times and bad for three decades. The Society is proud to be part of the fabric of Moorestown for such a long continuous period.
