Dan is an energetic and kind yoga teacher who focuses on students' individual progression, alignment and safety, and inclusion of all. His classes relax the mind and are open to new students. Rooted yogis and qualified instructors, Milard Roper and Leslie Van Bell, graduated Dan with his 200-hour Teacher Training certificate on Long Island in 2021. Dan is also influenced by the yoga of Ana T. Forrest, Tirumalai Krishnamacharya, T. K. V. Desikachar and B. K. S. Iyengar. Elements of martial arts, connection to breath and sequenced asanas can be found in Dan’s teaching. Dan is grateful to be able to teach such a blissful art within the community.

Prospector Theater

Lightworkers will be screened at the Prospector Theater at 7 PM on Thursday, October 15. Ken Burns said of the film, “This is great. Scary, sobering, thoughtful…”
Acclaimed director Bobby Roth (Lost, Grey’s Anatomy, Miami Vice) not only asks the question, “What can we do as individuals to make the world a better place?” but also shows how collective action can bring about momentous change. The film interviews artists, activists, educators, and political leaders to explore what moved them to turn their values into action in defense of democracy. They are Lightworkers—people who act to improve the world for all.
Can we all become Lightworkers? Yes, through individual acts of caring and connection. Each of us can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, and when we work toward a common goal, we can have a lasting impact. With American democracy at grave risk, each of us has a role to play as a Lightworker.
The film has also earned praise from Nicolle Wallace, who said, “The film is wonderful—it touched me deeply,” and Bruce Springsteen, who called it “excellent” and “a great work.”
Join us for this moving film, which may bring tears as well as hope and inspiration. Sign up at the link above where it says "More info here.".
All are welcome, and admission is free. For those who are able, we suggest a donation of $15 at the door to help cover the costs of the evening, primarily the theater rental.
