Little Scholars Childcare, Llc Yasmine Avila

My name is Yasmine Avila. Also known as Mami teacher by the children in my program. I’m a Licensed Family Child Care provider since summer of 2018. I’m an educator who loves to help children’s and Families to Value and appreciate nature. I’m thrilled to be a Family Child Care Bilingual Provider, Educator and business owner of Little Scholars Childcare.

I grew up in Arecibo & Hatillo, Puerto Rico. I move to United State in 2001. I married my husband Andres and I'm the mother of three wonderful children. We are not an ordinary. In addition to our dog, we have eleven chickens, and two guinea pigs. We are serious Happy campers. We love to camp outdoors.

I enjoy being outdoors, exploring surrounding. I believe in the old fashioned outdoor play. I also have more than 7 years of experience of community service and health.

Before I decided to move forward with my dream of becoming a family child care educator , I worked in the dental field as a Dental Assistant and pre Hygiene for a specialist dentist and a general dentist office. I started my relationship with All our kin even before I was a licensed provider. I decided in the fall of 2017 that I need to follow my passion for early education profession. All our kin helped me start my journey with their Business Series. Then I continued with the process of getting into the ToolKit Licensing Program through All Our Kin. I did receive my license in July of 2018 as a Family Child Care home Provider and I continued studying Early Childhood Development at the online institute. I also participate with the Parent Educator group through the East Haven Public School and Birth23 organization. I have experience working with children with speech delays and special needs.

I’m proud to said to said that I’m an entrepreneur from Little Scholars Childcare,LLC.

My goal is to provide a safe and positive experience with a happy natural environment for children to feel inspired to learn and connect with nature to explore and expand their minds. I also had the opportunity to learn and expand my knowledge with the help of the Early Childhood Coaching program through All our kin. I continued finding success as a businesswoman with the help of the Accounting System program.

I am a passionate person who believes that children learn and grow through the process of making their own decisions with some guidance and encouragement from me, the educator who persuades their education through natural play. The first five years of a child’s life are the most important thing in terms of social, emotional and physical and intellectual growth and development.

I love to learn and continue to attend conferences, workshops and training. I’m found a passion for advocating for the early education profession with the opportunity to participate in a national conference organized by the Alliance for Early Success about the early care and education workforce. I’m glad that the event gave me some ideas about how to advocate for myself and my fellow educators in the future. I’m an active member of All our kin’s network, I’m currently in the process of becoming accredited by the national association for Family Child Care(NAFCC). I am also working on my CDA through The Childcare Education Institute and Pennsylvania State University better kid.
