LitWorld is a New York City based non-profit 501(c)3 organization working locally, nationally and globally to lead and implement transformational literacy programs. Today one in ten people around the world cannot read or write and 57 million children never have the chance to go to school. LitWorld is changing that by showing children that they have a story to tell and uses these stories as the building blocks for literacy and resilience. The organization’s programs run during pivotal out of school time and empower young people to become active leaders shaping their communities and their futures.
