• Bear euthanized in Ogden days after it was relocated from Kamas (parkrecord.com) — A black bear that first appeared in Kamas on Sept. 22, prompting South Summit schools to alter student pickups, was later euthanized in Ogden after returning to populated areas. Wildlife officials explain that unusual weather and poor natural food sources are driving more bears into Utah neighborhoods, and outline when relocation is no longer considered safe or effective.
