• Pedestrian struck, killed in late-night Millcreek crash (abc4.com) — A pedestrian was fatally struck late Monday night while using a crosswalk near 4100 South and 700 East in Millcreek, despite immediate life-saving efforts. Unified Police say the driver stayed at the scene and impairment is not suspected, and they're urging Millcreek residents to be extra cautious in crosswalks and know what to do if they witness a crash.
• Man with long history of theft now accused of stealing video game consoles (ksl.com) — A Millcreek video game shop on South Main Street reportedly lost tens of thousands of dollars in consoles and games in a series of overnight burglaries. Unified Police say surveillance video ties a South Salt Lake man with a long theft record to the break-ins, and prosecutors have now charged him with felony theft and burglary.
• A whole spooktacular month of fun! Utah's Halloween event calendar (abc4.com) — Millcreek families can look forward to Millfreaks at Millcreek Common, a one-night interactive Halloween adventure with live performers, games, contests, and costumes encouraged. It's part of a huge statewide October calendar that also spotlights trunk-or-treats, festivals, races, and library parties, making it easy to plan spooky outings from Millcreek to communities all over Utah.
