Throughout the State, Lets Make 2018 The Year of Giving
It's so easy to get caught up in our own personal endeavours, but we are happiest when we are giving. Article written by Ryan Van Wagenen.

My name is Ryan Van Wagenen. I'm a native of this great state, now living in Cottonwood Heights. Before 2017, 99.9% of my daily focus was on myself, family and work. Now that I have recently retired and have a lot more time, I have decided to help others as much as possible. I cannot tell you how happy I've been this year! My family is constantly telling me that I am a new man. I have been Christian my whole life, but I feel much closer to God than ever with my new focus. We are so blessed to have such great people here in this great state. I truly feel that this state is one of the best places on earth. I'm hoping a lot of the state will adopt the motto "Let's Make 2018 the Year of Giving."
My wife asked if I could focus on opportunities for women to donate their time and give. One local charity I would like to promote is the Junior League of SLC. This is a great organization that is focused on having women commit to promoting volunteering as well as developing women and improving communities through action, education, and leadership. This is a national organization and has a large following.
