Salt Lake Community College: All Invited To 'Redefining Chicanidad' Event At West Valley Center

Everyone is invited to Redefining Chicanidad at the West Valley Center Oct. 8, 4-7 p.m.
As part of Latinx Hertiage Celebration, the Center presents a family-friendly event for all to learn about and celebrate the expansion of the Chicanx community, culture and history. Enjoy cultural food, music, workshops and literature and connect with important resources at the Center, located at 3460 South 5600 West in West Valley City.
Three workshops at the event include:

• Introduction to Lowrider Studies, featuring local lowriders and a car show
• Redefining Chicanidad discussion
• The realities of the school-to-prison pipeline: a panel discussion
