John MacDonald has accepted the role of Director of Campus Recreation Services at the University of Utah. McDonald brings with him over sixteen years of campus recreation experience and an additional ten years of outdoor recreation and business experience.

McDonald has taken on additional roles during his time in higher education, including serving as chair of the campus health planning group around COVID 19 at Akron University this past year. He and his wife, Marsita, will be moving here from Akron, Ohio the middle of August.
