Vermonter PGA’s Keegan Bradley Fails Cut, Scolded For Playing Too Slow

Woodstock, Vermont native Keegan Bradley had a rough two days of golf, so to speak.

The Green Mountain State's favorite golf pro by acclamation failed to make the weekend cut at the PGA championship, one of the four major professional golf tournaments played annually.

Bradley was 6 over after finishing the second round Friday, failing to make the 4-over cutline to go into the weekend.

Friday was the same day he got into an argument on the golf course with rules officials who said he was playing too slow.

Bradley was “put on the clock,” golf-speak meaning if you don't shape up we're going to penalize you.

Justin Thomas, who was playing with Bradley, joined in the argument with rules officials, complaining they shouldn't have been facing possible penalties.

They claimed that the 25 mph winds were delaying their game at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.

Bradley is the nephew of Hall of Fame LPGA member Pat Bradley, who in her younger years competed in championships at the Burlington, Vermont Country Club.

He is widely recognized as the best and most prominent PGA Tour player from New England.
