With competing applications from Montpelier and other developers, the Vermont Community Development Board's decision this week could determine how much new, flood-resilient housing actually gets built in Barre after the 2023 floods.
   

• Roundup: U-32 crushes Missisquoi, 9-1 (timesargus.com) — High school teams from Barre and nearby towns battled soggy fields but produced big performances, including Spaulding's gritty defensive stand in a 1-1 field hockey tie with Montpelier in Barre.
