His family has offered a $5,000 reward, while the two defendants remain jailed awaiting January court conferences, leaving relatives in Bradford and beyond still seeking closure and a proper burial.
• Vermont Sent Pieces of Its Computer Code to an AI Company to Find Security Holes. Lawmakers Took It Up, and the Hearing Got Heated (compassvermont.com) — Bradford's state Rep. Monique Priestley is helping press the Scott administration for answers after Vermont quietly tested Anthropic's AI tools on state computer code to spot security flaws. Lawmakers questioned why the free trial skipped normal contract review, and officials now say future AI trials will undergo full scrutiny and be added to the public list of state AI tools.
