Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:

  1. Burlington School District has announced its final candidate for the BTC Director position. The district has nominated Fieh Chan. He is currently in his third year as Assistant Principal at Milton Elementary School and has served as a former Assistant Principal with the Burlington School District. The community had the opportunity on Thursday to speak with Chan via a Zoom conversation. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Burlington officials are preparing for a busy season at Burlington's Waterfront Park. The park is hosting a litany of events and activities over the coming months after two years of pandemic-related cancellations. Most notably, the park is hosting the Vermont City Marathon and Brewer's Fest. (WCAX)
  3. The Burlington International Airport expansion has been denied. The airport was hoping to expand into some residential areas in South Burlington. Airport officials are not giving up and are redesigning plans to better merge with the community. The new plan would place its maintenance facility within its security fence. (Local 22/44 News)
