Good day, neighbors! Danielle Fallon here with the latest edition of the Burlington Daily.

First, today's weather:

Times of sun and clouds. High: 61 Low: 39.

Here are the top three stories in Burlington today:

  1. The Burlington High School project now moves into the schematic design and cost estimating phase. The Burlington Board of School Commissioners selected Option C's design through a unanimous vote. The design will build a building along Institute Road with the high school located in the eastern portion and the technical school located in the western portion. (Press Release Desk)
  2. The Vermont City Marathon will be returning this spring on May 29. The event was canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The state's largest marathon has racers running through the streets of Burlington. Registration for the popular event will be open through May 25 and proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for entry. (WPTZ)
  3. The federal government sent the Vermont Health Department an additional 2,000 doses of Paxlovid last month. The medication is meant to be used in emergency COVID-19 cases as an anti-viral. The federal government sends the department more than 200 doses each week and will continue to do so. (WPTZ)
