Veterans Memorial Park

Miles for Migraine will host its 9th annual 2-mile Walk, 5K Run and Relax Vermont event on Saturday September 19th at Veteran's Memorial Park in South Burlington. This event is a fundraiser for Migraine &amp; Headache Awareness, Treatment &amp; Research. It's more than a walk/run - come connect with your local migraine &amp; headache community, listen to our speakers &amp; visit sponsors in the festival area.
The 5K run is professionally timed. The Walk and the Relax events are free, but donations are encouraged. All walk and run finishers receive a finisher medal. Dress up in your best purple flair for a chance at a fun prize!

Funds raised will benefit Miles for Migraine free programs &amp; services as well as the University of Vermont Medical Center Headache Clinic to support local migraine research and fellowship training programs.

At City Hall in Saint Albans, VT, 100 Candles Tattoo will host the 3rd Rail City Tattoo Convention, the state’s first-ever tattoo show, which debuted in 2023. Tattoo artists from around the state and country will assemble to demonstrate their artistic talents, tattooing attendees, and sharing their inspiration and expertise with attendees. 
In 2023, the Rail City Tattoo Convention drew more than 1,000 attendees, including families with children, from eight New England states, six VT counties, and Canada. Vermont’s first tattoo convention was the brainchild of tattoo legend Jhon Rodriguez from 100 Candles Tattoo, a St. Albans-based studio. He overcame significant hurdles and regulatory requirements to get the first convention off the ground. His goal was to unify the state’s tattoo community and support artists and the trade in the Green Mountain State.
This year, Colombian-born Rodriguez looks forward to making the upcoming year’s event more fun. Over 50 tattoo artists from across the US including Florida, Oregon, New York, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island will be in attendance, as well as dozens of artists from around Vermont, including Brattleboro, Waterbury, Randolph, White River Junction, Montpelier, Essex, Burlington, Winooski, and St. Albans. 
Tickets are available at the door $15 per day or $25 for the weekend, with additional staff and volunteers checking guests in through two entrances this to expedite admissions. Kids under 10 are free.
