Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:

  1. A group of students and faculty at the University of Vermont is working on ways to reduce the use of road salt on campus. Road salt causes negative impacts to the environment but is an important tool to ensure a safe campus for pedestrians during winter weather. Funding for the group comes from the university's Sustainable Campus Fund. (Vermont Biz)
  2. Three more people have left Burlington's Racial Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging office. The resignations come after Director Tyeastia Green resigned from her position last month. Those that are leaving are Justice and Policy Manager Skylar Nash, Health Equity and Engagement Manager Nyla Ruiz, and Public Health Equity Manager Marielle Matthews (WCAX)
  3. South Burlington's Parkway Diner has a new owner. The popular diner has been closed for the past two years but will reopen its doors sometime in mid-April. Brian Lewis of Fayston is the new owner. (Seven Days)
