π± Electric Vehicle Charging Program Expands + Bank Robbery

Here are the top 3 stories in Burlington today:
- The Burlington Police Department is currently searching for a suspect in the robbery at People's United Bank on Tuesday. According to reports, the incident occurred at the North Avenue bank with a suspect fleeing with an unidentified amount of cash. Anyone with information regarding the robbery is being directed to the Burlington Police Department. (Burlington Patch)
- A draft concept to connect Burlington parks with South Burlington parks via cycling and walking paths will be presented to the public on March 9. The feasibility study conducted by the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission will involve paths along Queen City Park Road and Austin Drive in an effort to provide safe travel between parks. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting. (Burlington Free Press)
- The City of Burlington is expanding its program to provide apartment renters with electric vehicle charging stations. The pilot program was launched in 2019 with a financial incentive for apartment owners to install electric vehicle chargers on their premises with software to reserve time and provide payment. The initial program included 14 charges but the program has been recently budgeted to support 50 to 60 chargers over the next two years. (Energy News Network)
