Here are the top three stories in Burlington today:
- Efficiency Vermont gave out energy-saving kits this Earth Day to Burlington residents. The kits include 10 LED light bulbs, one low-flow showerhead, two faucet aerators, and a smart bulb or a packet of wildflower seeds. If you missed this opportunity, don't worry — Burlington residents can obtain a kit later this spring through Burlington Electric. (WCAX)
- The third annual Sci-fi and Fantasy Expo is coming to Burlington this weekend. The event will be at the Champlain Valley Expo on Saturday and Sunday. Attendees will enjoy interacting with authors, artists, cosplayers, fan organizations, elaborate displays, and numerous vendors. (WCAX)
- A recent report by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has placed Chittenden County at a medium level of COVID-19. Chittenden County is one of six other Vermont counties that are listed as a medium level while Washington County is listed as high. The remaining Vermont counties are listed as having low rates of COVID-19. One Burlington wastewater treatment facility reported a new high level of COVID-19 virus in its samples. (VT Digger)
