🌱 F-35 Jets Cause Noise Complaints + High-Winds Warning

First, today's weather:

Winds subsiding with rain. High: 49 Low: 24.

Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:

1. The National Weather Service in Burlington issued a high-wind warning for the area. The winds have been recorded near Colchester Reef as being around 45 miles per hour which are capable of downing trees and power lines. Forecasters warned of possible power outages last night and difficult traffic for vehicles that sit high off the ground. (Burlington Patch)
2. Visiting F-35 jets are causing noise disturbances at the VTANG Bases in South Burlington. According to officials with the Guard, the jets were part of the 34th Fighter Squadron out of Utah. The jets were preparing to fly to Germany to enhance NATO's defense efforts during the ongoing geopolitical tensions. (WCAX)
3. U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders held a virtual town hall meeting with Burlington students on Wednesday. The students were able to voice concerns and ask questions on issues that matter most to them. The focus of the town hall was on how the government can address the needs of a younger generation. (WCAX)
