Here are the top three stories in Burlington today:

  1. Burlington drivers are experiencing gas prices that are actually higher than the national average. According to a new report issued by GasBuddy on Tuesday, the national average price for gas is $4.36 per gallon. The same report shows that Vermont's average gas price is set at $4.46 per gallon. (WCAX)
  2. Opponents of the Champlain Parkway construction project are heading to federal court next week to stop it. The project has a start date in late June after decades of planning. Opponents of the project believe it is ill-conceived and outdated. There are also concerns that traffic issues will just be transferred to Maple and King Street neighborhoods. (WCAX)
  3. Support staff at Community Health Centers of Burlington have unionized. The staff is now joining Community Health United - a branch of AFT Vermont. The center's management did not fight against the vote. The centers serve more than 32,000 patients in the Burlington area. (Burlington Free Press)
