Here are the top three stories in Burlington today:

1. The Burlington City Council will hold a public hearing related to the proposed amendments to the City's Code of Ordinances. The amendments are related to the Ch. 18 Housing - Short Term Rentals. The hearing will take place on Feb. 7 during the regular City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. Adopting new regulations for short-term rentals in the City is important for housing standards and registration requirements. 2. Burlington's The Flynn is preparing to host a live circus act from Quebec. The Flip Fabrique is ready to present a fantastic acrobatics show for Burlington residents. The circus group returns to Burlington after being turned away two years ago due to the pandemic. (WCAX)
3. Burlington voters are set to decide whether or not the City of Burlington has the ability to regulate sex work. The vote is over a section of the city charter that allows Burlington to restrain "houses of ill fame" and to punish sex workers. If the section is repealed, state law would still find sex work illegal. (Seven Days)
