Here are the top three stories today in Burlington:

  1. Burlington voters approved a renovation of Main Street on Town Meeting Day. The renovation is a $25 million project that would include six city blocks between Battery Street and South Union Street. The city has announced that they will present a final concept for the renovation sometime in May with permitting continuing into the summer of 2023. (Local 22/44 News)
  2. Former campers at the dismantled Sears Lane encampment have been given the opportunity by a superior court judge to continue their lawsuit against the City of Burlington. Grey Barreda and Alexus Grundy initially filed their suit in October 2021 but were told to amend their complaint. Barreda and Grundy are changing their suit to seek damages from the city.
