Here are the top three stories in Burlington today:
- The Burlington School Board reviewed five possible designs for the area's new high school on Tuesday night. The former high school was abandoned due to PCB contamination with students currently studying in Macy's downtown building. The budget for the new high school is $200 million and all five renderings were presented with price tags below that mark. (WCAX)
- A generous Burlington teacher has successfully climbed to the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro. Rebekah Thomas, 48-years-old, joined other organ donors to climb the mountain to demonstrate that organ donors can live healthy active lives post-operation. Thomas has donated part of her liver and one of her kidneys. (Seven Days)
- The Burlington International Airport is hosting a hiring event on Apr. 14 starting at 9:00 a.m. The event has been scheduled during a time when staffing worries are intensifying. As the airport's travel numbers recover post-pandemic, it is important to maintain aircrafts which require a healthy maintenance staff. (WPTZ)
