Here are the top three stories in Burlington today:
- The Burlington Police Department is currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the 200 block of North Willard Street on Sunday morning. The department was able to collect a firearm from the scene along with ballistics evidence. One man is suffering from non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the incident. (WCAX)
- The Black Lives Matter Mural got some new paint on Saturday. The street was closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. while volunteers touched up the mural. It will remain on Main Street until October of next year. (WCAX)
- CVS Health is asking Vermont Governor Phil Scott to veto a bill that would reportedly raise the cost of prescription drugs for residents with private insurance. The bill would require specialty medications to be dispensed through Burlington's University of Vermont Health Network's pharmacy instead of through cheaper alternatives. The Governor's Press Secretary reports that the Governor has not made a decision yet. (vtdigger.org)
